6th August 2016

Had a bit of a wander across the meadow and was pleased to see the first #orchard from #GwentWildlifeTrust is looking good with our first mini-crop. Then got to the bigger area of small light-green plants which some are just coming into flower. These are common fleabane, these are meant to be a natural insect repellent; obviously not for the 2 pollinators in the pic below.

Then went down to the area where Barclays got to late in the day on Wednesday. I then cleared a good chunk of this patch spending 3.5 hours and burning some 1600 calories.

If anyone is out and about on the LNR and can spare a couple of minutes pulling up some balsam, you'll be doing the LNR a great service.
