Went out on this breezy, but hot Sunday aternoon tackling Himalayan balsam on the stream by the main car park bridge. In places it was sparse and in others quite dense. All of it was among brambles and nettles and the old arms again came out scratched and tingling from stings. The whole section was cleared in just under 3 hours and the #Fitbitblaze said 1800 calories burned so pretty good and another section clear of this pesky invasive non-native species (INNS). We've been tackling this section since 2009 and it was pleasing to see the balsam was noticably decreased in numbers, but it makes it harder to pull up those that remain.
