On the heels of yesterday's Barclays event, the group went to the overgrown patch next to the Glan Rhyd bridge. This 30 m2 area has been handpulled, slashed, brushcut and even sprayed over the last 6 years. Tonight, with a full house of Bri, Nic, Tricia, Richard and myself we set at it with a variety of agricultural tools (old) including scythe, slashers and rakes.
After we cut it, we teamed up to rake it up into 1 massive compost pile. We hope by removing it all we can get a grip on the patch and encourage wildflowers back. Great job and 1300 calories burned in just over 2 hours.
